The books The Field by Lynne McTaggart, Piercing Time and Space by Traci L. Slatton and The Akashic Field by Ervin Laszlo are all essential reading for anyone interested in the nature of reality. They provide an excellent and gentle introduction into the metaphysics of the Field, the emerging scientific/spiritual revolution that is arising and the implications that this will have.
Center for Sacred Sciences: Exploring the mystical traditions, their universal principles, and their compatibility with modern science. [They] believe it is possible to create a new worldview in which the truths of science and religion are seen as compatible ways of viewing the same underlying Reality.
The Center for Integral Science: Like physical science, integral science appeals to direct experience in order to ascertain the truth about reality. Integral science, however, is not limited to perceptual data and conceptual theories about them, but is open to the entire range of experience, and to all our capacities for apprehending truth. The development of integral science depends upon collaborative interdisciplinary research, and draws from many diverse areas of human knowledge and experience. The following organizations, individuals, and their publications are relevant to integral science and its development.
CTMU: The Cognitive Theoretic Model of the Universe proposes that the world is an 'utterance' within an abstract reality generative grammar,
Process Physics: proposes that reality is a self-referential information process producing fractal topological defects that form space and time.
Ross Rhodes: summary and links to some of his information theoretic metaphysical work. Particularly his "Cybernetic Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics" and his comments of the Finite Nature Hypothesis of Edwin Fredkin, which proposes that reality is finite and discrete in all ways and that there exists an iterative cellular automata computational process that underlies, manifests and 'computes' the phenomenon of existence.
Henry Stapp: Discusses many aspects of Quantum Mechanics, Information, God and the nature of Reality.
Eckhart Tolle: a summary of some of his metaphysical / spiritual writings. Especially regarding the process oriented nature of reality and the role of the ego in the experience of suffering.
Rupert Sheldrake: His work studies the morphic field that plays a role in all biological, physiological, psychological, social and evolutionary processes. In the information theoretic metaphysical context it is like a dynamic resonant "object oriented class hierarchy" that underlies and structures all form and evolution. This is also discussed in the book Piercing Time and Space.
Mathew Fox: this page is a collection of quotes from mostly Western and Christian sources, taken from the book "The Coming of the Cosmic Christ", and relating to many aspects of the nature of reality, with perspectives ranging from mystic to scientific. The book discusses the primacy of the mystic paradigm, the implications of our estrangement from the mystic dimension of life and the path toward reconnecting with our deepest roots.
Gary Zukav & Linda Francis, regarding the book "The Heart of the Soul", which explains that emotions and inner 'feelings' are not aesthetic experiences to be liked or disliked, they are important signals from our inner energy system. By tuning into these signals we may come to know and master our deepest levels of being and thereby attain peace and harmony.
Bond Graphs: System modeling using networks of power or signal flow between systems. Sounds DIRECTLY related to SMN!
Self-Organizing Systems (SOS) FAQ: an excellent resource of information about systems.
The Informatic Analogy: An essay discussing the plausability of information theoretic models of reality in the context of Near Death Experiences (NDE'S).
